Job Description

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Practice Provider Professional Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in developing and implementing educational programs that support the growth and development of our APPs. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a strong background in APP education and a personal commitment to promoting excellence in patient care.   1. Develop and implement educational programs to support the growth and development of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
  2. Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in APP knowledge and skills.
  3. Utilize evidence-based practice and current research to create engaging and effective learning experiences for APPs.
  4. Stay up-to-date on advancements in healthcare and APP roles and responsibilities to ensure the educational programs are relevant and current.
  5. Collaborate with the APP team to identify individual learning needs and create personalized development plans.
  6. Facilitate workshops, seminars, and other learning opportunities for APPs to enhance their clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and leadership skills.
  7. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
  8. Provide mentorship and support to APPs to promote their career growth and advancement.
  9. Serve as a resource for APPs regarding current healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
  10. Maintain accurate records of APP participation and progress in educational programs.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote interdisciplinary learning and collaboration.
  12. Act as a role model for excellence in patient care and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  13. Stay informed about national trends and best practices in APP education and share this knowledge with the team.
  14. Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of new APPs by providing orientation and training.
  15. Continuously assess and improve the professional development process for APPs at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of Master's Degree In Nursing Or Related Healthcare Field.

  • Current Certification As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In An Advanced Practice Provider Role.

  • Previous Experience In Developing And Implementing Professional Development Programs For Advanced Practice Providers.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Standards Related To Advanced Practice Providers, Including Scope Of Practice, Credentialing, And Regulatory Compliance.
