We are currently seeking an experienced Advanced Child Life Specialist to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of children and families facing medical challenges.As an Advanced Child Life Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and developmental needs of our patients. Your expertise and compassion will help children and families cope with hospitalization, medical procedures, and other difficult situations.   1. Develop and implement child life programs and interventions to support the emotional and developmental needs of our young patients and their families.
  2. Provide emotional support and counseling to children and families facing medical challenges, hospitalization, and medical procedures.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive care plan for each patient, taking into consideration their unique needs and circumstances.
  4. Utilize developmentally appropriate techniques and tools to help children understand and cope with medical procedures and treatments.
  5. Create a safe and welcoming environment for children and families, promoting a sense of comfort and normalcy during their hospital stay.
  6. Educate and train hospital staff and caregivers on child development, coping strategies, and ways to support children and families during difficult times.
  7. Document and maintain accurate records of interactions, assessments, and interventions for each patient.
  8. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, advocating for the needs and preferences of children and families.
  9. Coordinate and facilitate play and recreational activities for patients, encouraging socialization and normalcy.
  10. Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives related to child life services and patient care.
  11. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in child life and healthcare, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development.
  12. Foster a culture of compassion, empathy, and respect within the child life team and the entire hospital community.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Child Life Specialist Through The Association Of Child Life Professionals.

  • Master's Degree In Child Life, Child Development, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Certified Child Life Specialist In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting.

  • Experience Developing And Implementing Programs And Interventions For Children And Families In A Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Child Development And The Impact Of Illness And Hospitalization On Children And Families.
