  1. Provide evidence-based psychosocial support to children and families during their hospital experience.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in child life to enhance the emotional well-being of patients and families.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Facilitate therapeutic play and other activities to promote coping and normalization for patients.
  5. Create a welcoming and safe environment for patients and families, ensuring their needs are met.
  6. Educate and support families in understanding their child's medical condition and treatment plan.
  7. Document and communicate patient progress and needs to the healthcare team.
  8. Stay current on child life best practices and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Serve as a resource and mentor to other child life staff and interns.
  10. Contribute to the overall mission of providing the best care for children and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Child Life, Child Development, Or Related Field.

  • Certification As A Child Life Specialist Through The Child Life Certification Commission.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Child Life Specialist In A Pediatric Hospital Setting.

  • Advanced Knowledge And Understanding Of Child Development, Family Systems, And Psychosocial Needs Of Hospitalized Children.

  • Strong Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Teams And Provide Support To Families In Crisis.
