Job Description

We’re looking for an Access Scheduler to join the team at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia! Our hospital is dedicated to providing world-class care to children and families, and the Access Scheduler will be a key part of that mission. The ideal candidate will have a passion for children’s health and a commitment to creating a positive experience for our patients and their families. We’re seeking a highly organized and personable professional with the following qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule and manage patient appointments using the hospital’s electronic system.
  2. Coordinate with other departments to ensure that patients receive the necessary care and services.
  3. Monitor patient wait times and work to reduce delays.
  4. Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle other inquiries from patients and their families.
  5. Work with the patient access team to ensure efficient workflow and communication throughout the hospital.
  6. Monitor patient satisfaction and take steps to improve the patient experience.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all patient visits.
  8. Communicate with other healthcare providers regarding patient care and services.
  9. Ensure all necessary forms and documents are completed prior to patient visits.
  10. Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed.
