- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, researchers, educators, and other hospital staff, to support the academic goals of the department.
- Coordinate and oversee academic activities, including conferences, lectures, and presentations, to promote the advancement of pediatric GI, hepatology, and nutrition care.
- Collaborate with the research team to facilitate ongoing research projects and clinical trials related to pediatric GI, hepatology, and nutrition.
- Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows in the department.
- Manage administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and materials, and maintaining department records and databases.
- Serve as a liaison between the department and external organizations, such as professional societies and advocacy groups, to promote collaboration and support for pediatric GI, hepatology, and nutrition initiatives.
- Stay current on trends and advancements in pediatric GI, hepatology, and nutrition care, and share relevant information with the department.
- Monitor and track departmental budgets and expenses related to academic activities and report any issues or discrepancies to department leadership.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of pediatric GI, hepatology, and nutrition care.
- Act as a resource for department staff and patients, providing information and support as needed.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Hold An Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Medicine, Nutrition, Or Health Sciences. This Will Demonstrate A Strong Knowledge Base And Understanding Of The Subject Matter.
Experience In Academic Coordination: A Successful Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Academic Coordination, Preferably In The Field Of Gi, Hepatology, And Nutrition. This Will Showcase Their Ability To Manage And Coordinate Academic Programs And Activities Effectively.
Knowledge Of Pediatric Gi, Hepatology, And Nutrition: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pediatric Gi, Hepatology, And Nutrition, Including Current Research And Best Practices. This Will Allow Them To Effectively Support And Guide The Academic Programs At The Hospital.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As An Academic Coordinator, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Collaborating With Various Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Students, And Other Hospital Staff. Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For Building And Maintaining Effective Working Relationships.
Organizational And Project Management Skills: The Successful Candidate Should Possess Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills To Effectively Plan, Coordinate, And Implement Academic Programs And Initiatives.
