Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse

We are looking for an experienced Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse to join our team at Children's Hospital Colorado. In this role, you will provide specialized care and support to our pediatric patients and families. The ideal candidate will have a passion for caring for children and providing comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence nursing services.To be successful in this role, you must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and a minimum of one-year experience in pediatric wound, ostomy, and continence nursing. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide compassionate care to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide specialized wound, ostomy, and continence nursing services to pediatric patients and families
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient’s health and wellness
3. Educate parents and families on wound, ostomy and continence care
4. Develop and implement care plans that meet the patient’s individual needs
5. Monitor and document patient progress and response to care
6. Assist with wound care procedures and treatments
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
8. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families
9. Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies
10. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
