  1. Develop and implement donor relations strategies and initiatives to cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
  2. Create and manage a comprehensive donor recognition program to acknowledge and appreciate the generosity of our donors.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and teams within the hospital to identify funding needs and opportunities for donor support.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact for major donors, providing personalized attention and stewardship to ensure their continued engagement and support.
  5. Plan and execute special events and donor appreciation activities to engage and cultivate relationships with donors.
  6. Develop and manage a donor communication plan, including regular updates and personalized acknowledgments to keep donors informed and engaged.
  7. Monitor and track donor giving trends and provide regular reports and analysis to inform fundraising strategies.
  8. Work closely with the development team to identify and pursue potential major gift prospects and develop effective solicitation strategies.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards for fundraising and donor relations.
  10. Represent Children's Hospital Colorado at community events and speaking engagements to promote the organization's mission and fundraising initiatives.
  11. Manage and mentor a team of donor relations staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the department's fundraising efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Fundraising: A Senior Manager Donor Relations Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Fundraising, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Non-Profit Setting. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Securing Major Donations And Maintaining Strong Relationships With Donors.

  • Strong Communication Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Donors, Hospital Leadership, And Staff. A Senior Manager Donor Relations Should Have Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Effectively Present Information And Negotiate With Donors.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: As A Senior-Level Position, A Senior Manager Donor Relations Should Have Experience Managing A Team And Providing Leadership And Direction. They Should Be Able To Motivate And Support Their Team To Achieve Fundraising Goals And Maintain A Positive Work Culture.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Philanthropy: Children's Hospital Colorado Is A Leading Pediatric Hospital, And A Senior Manager Donor Relations Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Healthcare Philanthropy Landscape. This Includes Knowledge Of Industry Trends, Best Practices, And Regulations Related To Fundraising For Healthcare Organizations.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: A Senior Manager Donor Relations Must Be Able To Think Strategically And Develop Innovative Fundraising Strategies To Engage Donors And Increase Donations.
