
Risk Manager - RN
At Children's Hospital Colorado, we are looking for an experienced Risk Manager - RN to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing risk and proactively identifying, assessing, and managing potential risks to patient safety and quality of care. To be successful in this position, you must have a passion for patient safety and quality of care, as well as an extensive knowledge of risk management principles.The ideal candidate will have a current RN license in the state of Colorado, previous experience in a pediatric hospital setting, and advanced knowledge of state and federal regulations related to risk management. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify, assess, and manage potential risks to patient safety and quality of care.
- Monitor and audit patient safety and quality of care procedures to ensure compliance with safety protocols, state and federal regulations, and best practices.
- Develop and implement risk management initiatives to reduce the risk of errors and improve patient safety.
- Facilitate education and training programs for staff and other healthcare professionals on risk management principles and best practices.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to risk management and patient safety.
- Provide consultation and support to departments and personnel regarding risk management issues.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of risk management activities.
- Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and assess the impact on risk management processes.
- Investigate and resolve patient safety incidents.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Colorado
Five Years Of Experience In Pediatric Nursing
Three Years Of Experience In Risk Management
Knowledge Of Legal And Regulatory Compliance Requirements
