Respiratory Therapist Assistant

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist Assistant to join our exceptional team. In this role, the Respiratory Therapist Assistant will provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages in the hospital and clinic settings. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to excellence and be passionate about providing the highest quality of care to children.The successful candidate will possess an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care and be certified as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). The ideal candidate will also have experience in pediatric respiratory care and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:

1. Provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages in the hospital and clinic settings.
2. Administer respiratory treatments prescribed by a physician.
3. Monitor patients’ vital signs and document patient progress.
4. Educate patients and their families on proper respiratory care techniques.
5. Assist physicians with diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function testing.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of respiratory care techniques.
7. Ensure that all respiratory equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
8. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
9. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
10. Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to respiratory care.
