  1. Develop and implement informatics and data science strategies to support research initiatives at Children's Hospital Colorado.
  2. Lead a team of informatics and data science professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
  3. Collaborate with research teams to identify data needs and develop data management plans to support their projects.
  4. Oversee the collection, integration, and analysis of complex data sets from various sources.
  5. Develop and maintain data pipelines and databases to facilitate efficient data management and analysis.
  6. Stay current on new technologies and advancements in informatics and data science, and proactively identify opportunities for their application in pediatric research.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance data management capabilities.
  8. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations and institutional policies.
  9. Monitor and evaluate the performance of informatics and data science projects, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.

  11. Communicate research findings and insights to stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers, and external audiences.
  12. Mentor and train junior team members on informatics and data science techniques and best practices.
  13. Participate in grant writing and fundraising efforts to support research informatics and data science initiatives.
  14. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the hospital to promote a multidisciplinary approach to research informatics and data science.
  15. Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for the use of informatics and data science in pediatric research.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role In A Research Informatics Or Data Science Environment.

  • A Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Data Systems, Including Electronic Health Records, Data Warehousing, And Data Mining.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages Commonly Used In Data Analysis, Such As Python, R, And Sql.

  • Proven Experience In Managing And Mentoring A Team Of Informatics And Data Science Professionals.

  • A Deep Understanding Of Research Methodologies And The Ability To Apply Data Science Techniques To Support Research Projects And Advance Scientific Discovery.
