  1. Provide high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients in the Inpatient Psychiatric Specialty department.
  2. Utilize strong background in psychiatric nursing to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, including any changes in behavior or mental status.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure understanding of treatment plans and goals.
  8. Advocate for the needs and rights of pediatric patients, particularly in regards to their mental health.
  9. Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
  10. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of psychiatric nursing best practices and standards of care.
  11. Participate in unit and hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and legal requirements.
  13. Serve as a positive role model for patients and colleagues, promoting a culture of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Serve as a resource and mentor for new or less experienced team members.
  16. Actively participate in professional development and training opportunities.
  17. Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission, values, and goals.
  18. Foster a positive and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
  19. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs and unit demands.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Colorado.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Inpatient Psychiatric Setting.

  • Advanced Certification In Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (Pmh-Rn) Preferred.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
