
Registered Nurse - Critical Care

- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to critically ill children in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and changes in health status, and communicate any concerns or changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients by maintaining a clean and organized patient care environment.
- Educate patients and their families on the treatment plan, medications, and any necessary follow-up care.
- Advocate for patients' needs and rights, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care and are treated with dignity and respect.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to quickly assess and respond to emergency situations and make appropriate decisions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Stay current on advancements and best practices in pediatric critical care through ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Serve as a positive and professional role model for other healthcare team members and actively contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing improvement of patient care processes and outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during difficult times, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
A Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Colorado.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Critical Care Setting, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting.
Bls, Acls, And Pals Certifications.
Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Or Higher.
Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations And Work Well In A Team Environment.
