
PRN Patient Access Representative South Campus

- Greet and welcome patients, families, and visitors to Children's Hospital Colorado with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and assisting with any needs or accommodations.
- Efficiently and accurately register patients and verify insurance information.
- Ensure timely and smooth patient flow through the registration and check-in process.
- Create and maintain patient records, including updating personal and medical information.
- Collect and process patient payments, including copays and deductibles.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to ensure accurate and complete information is obtained.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in insurance policies and procedures to accurately process patient information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate a passion for working with children and their families and provide a welcoming and supportive environment for them.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Prn Patient Access Representative At Children's Hospital Colorado Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates For This Position Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Patient Access Or Registration Role. This Will Ensure They Have A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures.
Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In This Role, As Prn Patient Access Representatives Will Be Interacting With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis. Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Necessary For Success In This Position.
Detail-Oriented: Prn Patient Access Representatives Must Have Strong Attention To Detail In Order To Accurately Enter Patient Information And Ensure All Necessary Paperwork And Documentation Is Complete. This Is Crucial For Maintaining Patient Records And Ensuring Billing And Insurance Information Is Accurate.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Children's Hospital Colorado Is A Busy And Fast-Paced Healthcare Facility, And Prn Patient Access Representatives Must Be Able To Thrive In This Type Of Environment. They Should Be Able To Multitask, Prioritize Tasks, And Work Efficiently Under Pressure. Flexibility And Adaptability Are Also Important Qualities For Success In This Role.
