Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Phlebotomist to join the team at Children's Hospital Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples from our patients. You will use your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with our patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of medical terminology, be comfortable using computers, and be knowledgeable about infection control and safety protocols. Responsibilities:

  1. Collect and process blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with patients and their families.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
  4. Demonstrate comfort in using computers to maintain patient records and other documentation.
  5. Implement infection control and safety protocols while collecting and processing blood samples.
  6. Follow established guidelines and protocols for phlebotomy procedures.
  7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with hospital standards.
  8. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
  9. Provide compassionate and patient-focused care to children and their families.
  10. Remain current on industry trends and best practices related to phlebotomy.
