Pharmacy Tech PRN

We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working Pharmacy Tech PRN to join the team at Children's Hospital Colorado. Our Pharmacy Tech PRN will be a critical component of our hospital's pharmacy services, providing a high level of care, accuracy, and patient service. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pharmaceuticals and how they interact with and impact patient care.To be successful in this role, you must have a valid license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Colorado, at least one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, and a passion for providing excellent patient care. In addition, you should have basic computer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Dispense medications and medical supplies to hospital staff and patients according to protocols and legal requirements.
2. Verify accuracy of medication orders and ensure that all prescriptions are filled correctly.
3. Stock shelves with pharmaceutical products and maintain inventory levels.
4. Follow hospital policies and procedures to ensure quality control and patient safety.
5. Assist pharmacists with compounding and other duties as assigned.
6. Answer questions and provide information about medications and medical supplies.
7. Monitor expiration dates and discard outdated medications.
8. Maintain clean and organized work areas.
9. Process and submit insurance claims and other related paperwork.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
