
Patient Family Education - Coordinator NICU
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Patient Family Education - Coordinator NICU to join our team at Children's Hospital Colorado. This position provides a unique opportunity to help families of premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by offering emotional and educational support.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient and family education, preferably in a hospital setting. They must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to helping families of preterm babies. Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and educational support to families of premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Develop patient and family education materials, such as brochures, pamphlets, and website content.
- Design and implement programs and activities to educate and engage families.
- Manage family education resources, including books, videos, and other materials.
- Facilitate group discussions and workshops with families.
- Collaborate with other health care professionals to ensure a family-centered approach to care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patient outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of patient and family education programs.
- Stay up to date on current best practices in patient and family education.
- Provide support and guidance to families throughout their NICU experience.
Strong Organizational Skills

Bachelor's Degree In Education Or Related Field
