We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Patient Family Education - Coordinator NICU to join our team at Children's Hospital Colorado. This position provides a unique opportunity to help families of premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by offering emotional and educational support.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient and family education, preferably in a hospital setting. They must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep commitment to helping families of preterm babies. The successful candidate will be a creative and resourceful problem solver who can think outside the box and use their expertise to provide the best possible support.We are looking for a dedicated professional who is excited to join our team and who understands the importance of family-centered care. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide emotional and educational support to families of premature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  2. Develop patient and family education materials, such as brochures, pamphlets, and website content.
  3. Design and implement programs and activities to educate and engage families.
  4. Manage family education resources, including books, videos, and other materials.
  5. Facilitate group discussions and workshops with families.
  6. Collaborate with other health care professionals to ensure a family-centered approach to care.
  7. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  8. Monitor patient outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of patient and family education programs.
  9. Stay up to date on current best practices in patient and family education.
  10. Provide support and guidance to families throughout their NICU experience.
