Patient Cost Estimate Specialist
Position produces estimates of cost of care for families and makes arrangements for payment of patient portion. The individual must have good investigatory skills, be detail-oriented, exhibit good listening skills and problem-solving skills, and be able to speak with patients/families who may be under stress due to potential financial liability and anticipated medical services.
1 to 2 years hospital billing and claims follow-up
One to three years prior experience in a healthcare, or related field
Must have excellent working knowledge in healthcare billing and exposure to CPT and DRG coding
1 to 2 years Collections Experience
1 to 2 years in a call center environment preferred
