- Assist physicians and nurses in providing expert orthopedic care to pediatric patients.
- Prepare and maintain orthopedic equipment and supplies for procedures and treatments.
- Educate patients and families on orthopedic procedures and treatments.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures and treatments.
- Document patient information and update medical records accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote infection control and safety.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on best practices in pediatric orthopedic care.
- Provide emotional support and empathy to patients and families during difficult medical procedures or treatments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and outcomes.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Completion Of An Accredited Orthopedic Technician Program
Certification As An Orthopedic Technician (E.g. Orthopedic Technologist Certified, National Board For Certification Of Orthopaedic Technologists)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Orthopedic Technician, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Orthopedic Equipment And Procedures, As Well As Experience With Casting, Splinting, And Bracing Techniques For Pediatric Patients.
