  1. Operate specialized equipment and perform nuclear medicine procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients.
  2. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  3. Monitor patient vital signs and assess for adverse reactions during procedures.
  4. Educate patients and their families about nuclear medicine procedures and answer any questions or concerns.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, patient information, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  7. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to protect patients, staff, and visitors from radiation exposure.
  8. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
  9. Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology and techniques through continuing education and training.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and efficiency of procedures.
  11. Provide compassionate and supportive care to patients and their families throughout their hospital experience.
  12. Contribute to the overall mission and goals of Children's Hospital Colorado by providing exceptional patient care and service.
  13. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and other hospital staff.
  14. Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development and implementation of best practices for nuclear medicine procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Comprehensive Training And Education In The Field Of Nuclear Medicine Technology.

  • Certification From The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (Nmtcb) Or American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt): Both The Nmtcb And Arrt Offer Certification Exams For Nuclear Medicine Technologists. Candidates For This Position Should Hold Current Certification From One Of These Organizations To Demonstrate Their Knowledge And Competency In The Field.

  • Experience Working In A Pediatric Setting: Children's Hospital Colorado Is A Specialized Pediatric Facility, So Experience Working With Pediatric Patients Is Highly Valued. Candidates With Previous Experience Working In A Pediatric Setting Will Be Better Equipped To Handle The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Working With Young Patients.

  • Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Regulations: As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist, It Is Crucial To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Regulations. This Includes Proper Handling And Disposal Of Radioactive Materials, As Well As Ensuring The Safety Of Patients And Staff During Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Children's Hospital Colorado Places A High Value On Patient And Family-Centered Care.
