
Neurology Clinical Pharmacist Specialist
At Children’s Hospital Colorado, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Neurology Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and passionate about providing excellent patient care as well as have expertise in the area of Neurology. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to ensure safe and effective medication therapy management for pediatric patients with neurological conditions.Qualifications for this role include: a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, a Colorado Pharmacist license, and two or more years of experience as a clinical pharmacist in a pediatric setting. Board certification in a clinical specialty is preferred. Knowledge of pediatric neurology and experience with pediatric neurologic disorders is highly desirable. Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and will demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other health care team members to provide safe and effective medication therapy management for pediatric patients with neurological conditions.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and professional standards of practice related to the provision of pharmaceutical care.
- Utilize clinical knowledge and skills to optimize drug selection, dosing, and regimens.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with providers, patients, and families.
- Monitor patient responses to medications and provide necessary interventions as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and other clinical activities.
- Educate and counsel patients and families regarding medications and disease states.
- Identify and resolve medication-related problems.
- Participate in pharmacy-led initiatives to improve medication use and patient safety.
- Provide education and training to pharmacy students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills
Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree
Board Certification In Pediatric Pharmacy
Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy
Current Colorado Pharmacy License
Minimum Of Years Of Clinical Experience As A Pediatric Neurology Clinical Pharmacist
