
Network Engineer Senior
At Children's Hospital Colorado, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated Network Engineer Senior to join our IT team. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage and maintain our hospital’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a natural problem solver who has a passion for technology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. The Network Engineer Senior must have strong knowledge of network architectures, protocols, and technologies, and a thorough understanding of routing, switching, and network security principles. The successful candidate must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field• 5+ years of experience in a network engineering role• Experience with designing and deploying enterprise networks• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols, technologies, and security• Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy enterprise networks and configure and troubleshoot network hardware and software.
- Monitor and analyze network performance, detect and diagnose network problems, and take corrective action as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network issues such as routing, switching, and security.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of network security policies and procedures.
- Research and recommend new technologies and products to improve the performance and security of the network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation.
- Provide technical support and training to other IT staff.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to ensure optimal network performance.
- Monitor and respond to network alarms and alerts.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as needed.
