We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Children's Hospital Colorado, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of premature and critically ill newborns and their families.   1. Provide exceptional care to premature and critically ill newborns and their families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  2. Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  3. Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and prescribe medications as needed.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, identify any changes in their condition, and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plan.
  5. Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  6. Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, students, and other healthcare professionals.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, progress notes, and test results.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  9. Stay informed about current trends, research, and advancements in neonatal care and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support the hospital's mission to provide exceptional care to the community.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a positive and collaborative working environment.
  12. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  13. Attend and participate in mandatory trainings, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  14. Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care and work to alleviate the stress and anxiety of families during difficult times.
  15. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between different levels of care.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.

  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Neonatology.

  • Current Certification As A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner From A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The National Certification Corporation.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner In A Hospital Setting.

  • Current State Nursing License And Ability To Obtain A Colorado State License.
