- Provide high-quality and compassionate care to pediatric oncology patients and their families.
- Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric oncology patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to physicians.
- Perform routine procedures, such as blood draws and IV insertions, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding treatment plans and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Train and supervise junior medical assistants.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A Medical Assistant In An Oncology Setting.
Certification As A Medical Assistant From An Accredited Institution.
Knowledge Of Pediatric Oncology Protocols, Treatments, And Medications.
Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems, Specifically Related To Oncology Patient Care.
Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.
