  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to children with developmental disabilities.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Assist in conducting medical procedures and administering medications as instructed by healthcare team.
  4. Monitor and record patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
  5. Educate patients and their families on proper care and management of developmental disabilities.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  8. Maintain a professional and caring demeanor with patients and their families at all times.

  11. Support and participate in departmental and hospital-wide initiatives and programs.

  14. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Medical Assistant Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Formal Training Program In Medical Assisting From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That They Have A Strong Foundation In Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Clinical Procedures.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: While Not Always Required, Having A Nationally Recognized Certification Such As Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Can Demonstrate A Higher Level Of Competency And Dedication To The Profession.

  • Experience In Pediatric Care: Given The Specialized Nature Of The Position, Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting. This Could Include Internships, Externships, Or Previous Employment In A Pediatric Clinic Or Hospital.

  • Knowledge Of Developmental Pediatrics: A Strong Understanding Of Child Development And Developmental Disorders Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have Knowledge Of Common Developmental Disorders And How They Are Diagnosed And Treated.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: As A Medical Assistant In Developmental Pediatrics, Candidates Will Be Working Closely With Both Patients And Their Families, As Well As A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Organizational Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Collaborate And Provide High-Quality Care.
