As the Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead our team of spiritual care providers in delivering compassionate and holistic care to our young patients and their families. - Develop and implement a comprehensive program for spiritual care services at Children's Hospital Colorado in alignment with the organization's mission and values.
- Lead and manage a team of spiritual care providers, including hiring, training, and supervising staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
- Provide spiritual care services to patients and families, including counseling, prayer, and emotional support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community clergy and faith-based organizations to support the spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and research in the field of spiritual care and integrate new techniques into the program.
- Create and manage a budget for spiritual care services, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Serve as a resource for hospital staff on spiritual and emotional needs of patients and families.
- Maintain accurate records and data on spiritual care services provided.
- Participate in hospital committees and initiatives related to patient care and organizational values.
- Foster a culture of compassion and inclusivity within the spiritual care team and throughout the hospital.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the spiritual care program to meet the evolving needs of patients and families.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Represent Children's Hospital Colorado in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Respond to emergency spiritual care needs, including after-hours and on-call duties as necessary.
Master's Degree In Divinity, Theology, Or Related Field With A Focus On Healthcare Or Pediatric Ministry.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Spiritual Care Or Pastoral Care Department, Preferably In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting.
Ordination Or Commissioning By A Faith Community Recognized By Children's Hospital Colorado.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Diverse Faith Traditions And Cultural Practices.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Compassionate And Sensitive Spiritual Support To Patients, Families, And Staff.
