
Manager - Spiritual Care
We’re looking for a compassionate and inspiring leader to join the Children’s Hospital Colorado team as Manager of Spiritual Care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing spiritual care and support to our patients, families, and staff. You will work collaboratively with the pastoral care team, multidisciplinary providers, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that spiritual and emotional needs are met.The ideal candidate for this position will be an ordained minister or chaplain with at least five years of experience in Spiritual Care in a healthcare setting, and a master’s degree in theology, divinity, or a related field. We also require that the Manager of Spiritual Care have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of spiritual and emotional care, and a strong dedication to providing compassionate and ethical care.If you have a passion for providing spiritual guidance to those in need and are inspired by the mission of Children’s Hospital Colorado, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual guidance and emotional support to patients, families, and staff members.
- Collaborate with the pastoral care team, multidisciplinary providers, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that spiritual and emotional needs are met.
- Manage the overall operations of the spiritual care department.
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives to support spiritual and emotional health.
- Lead spiritual care staff and provide guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Educate and inform healthcare providers and staff about spiritual care and its importance in providing holistic care.
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment for spiritual care.
- Participate in professional development activities and conferences to stay up to date with best practices in spiritual care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local faith-based organizations to coordinate spiritual care services.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
