Job Description

Children's Hospital Colorado is looking for a Manager Pharmacy Clinical Services who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families. We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, organized, and professional with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate must have a PharmD degree or equivalent degree, and have a minimum of 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a pediatric healthcare setting. They must also have a working knowledge of computer systems, have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel. We are looking for a team leader who is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and supervise the pharmacy clinical services team to ensure high quality patient care.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures that comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Monitor and review medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of treatment.
  4. Provide education and training to staff and other healthcare professionals on new and existing medications.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  6. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information in the pharmacy system.
  7. Participate in research projects and other programs designed to improve patient safety and quality of care.
  8. Remain current on the latest advances in pharmacy practice and patient care.
  9. Participate in performance improvement activities and other initiatives to improve patient care and safety.
  10. Maintain and promote a safe and positive work environment.
