
IR Technologist PRN
Welcome to Children's Hospital Colorado! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated IR Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. As an IR Technologist, you will play a crucial role in our specialized pediatric radiology department, utilizing your expertise and knowledge to produce high quality images for our young patients. - Perform diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures on pediatric patients according to department protocols and standards.
- Operate and maintain specialized radiology equipment, ensuring accurate and high quality image production.
- Follow radiation safety standards and protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging results.
- Monitor and assess patient's condition before, during, and after procedures, and report any adverse reactions or changes to the radiologist.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrate a compassionate and patient-centered approach when working with young patients and their families.
- Stay up-to-date with new technology, techniques, and protocols in pediatric radiology and actively participate in departmental trainings and meetings.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions from patients, families, and staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental protocols and policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the department manager.
Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Radiography.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Pediatric Interventional Radiology.
Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology Related To Pediatric Patients.
Ability To Operate And Maintain Specialized Equipment Used In Pediatric Interventional Radiology Procedures.
