IR Technologist PRN

As an IR Technologist, you will play a crucial role in our specialized pediatric radiology department, utilizing your expertise and knowledge to produce high quality images for our young patients. 1. Perform diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures on pediatric patients according to department protocols and standards.
2. Operate and maintain specialized radiology equipment, ensuring accurate and high quality image production.
3. Follow radiation safety standards and protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
4. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging results.
5. Monitor and assess patient's condition before, during, and after procedures, and report any adverse reactions or changes to the radiologist.
6. Maintain accurate and organized records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
7. Demonstrate a compassionate and patient-centered approach when working with young patients and their families.
8. Stay up-to-date with new technology, techniques, and protocols in pediatric radiology and actively participate in departmental trainings and meetings.
9. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and HIPAA regulations.
10. Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions from patients, families, and staff.
11. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
12. Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental protocols and policies.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the department manager.
