
Infection Preventionist

If you are an individual who is eager to join a team of dedicated professionals, and you have the qualifications, experience, and enthusiasm to make a positive contribution, we want to hear from you!Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, Health Care Administration, or a related field.• Current certification from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) or equivalent.• At least two years of experience in Infection Prevention and/or Control, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.• Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles, practices, and standards.• Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).• Ability to analyze data using a variety of software packages.• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.• Ability to make independent decisions and take initiative.• Ability to work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement infection prevention strategies, policies, and procedures in order to protect the health and safety of patients.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards for infection prevention.
- Monitor and investigate potential infectious disease outbreaks.
- Monitor and analyze infection prevention data and trends.
- Educate and train healthcare personnel on infection prevention best practices.
- Develop and deliver educational programs related to infection prevention and control.
- Provide guidance and direction to department staff and other personnel in matters related to infection prevention.
- Maintain and update infection prevention protocols and records.
- Participate in committees and initiatives related to infection prevention.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community partners.
Registered Nurse License
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
Master's Degree In Public Health Or A Related Field
Certified Infection Preventionist (Cic) Or Equivalent Certification
+ Years Of Experience In Infection Control/Infection Prevention In A Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills
Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
