- Lead and manage a team of chaplains to ensure the delivery of high-quality spiritual care to patients, families, and staff at Children's Hospital Colorado.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the spiritual care program and support the mission of the hospital.
- Recruit, train, and mentor chaplains to ensure they are equipped to provide compassionate and effective spiritual support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care that addresses the spiritual, emotional, and psychological needs of patients and families.
- Conduct spiritual assessments and provide spiritual counseling and support to patients and families according to their individual needs and beliefs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local faith communities to provide additional support and resources for patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements related to spiritual care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the spiritual care program and make necessary adjustments to meet the changing needs of patients, families, and staff.
- Provide guidance and support to chaplains in difficult and complex spiritual care situations.
- Serve as a liaison between the spiritual care team and other hospital departments to promote a collaborative and integrated approach to patient care.
- Participate in hospital committees and meetings to represent the spiritual care program and advocate for the spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect for diverse spiritual beliefs within the hospital community.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the role.
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities and stay updated on best practices in spiritual care.
Master's Degree In Divinity Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As A Chaplain In A Hospital Or Pediatric Setting.
Certification As A Board Certified Chaplain (Bcc) Through The Association Of Professional Chaplains (Apc) Or The National Association Of Catholic Chaplains (Nacc).
Experience Managing A Team Of Chaplains And Developing Spiritual Care Programs.
Knowledge Of Various Religious And Spiritual Practices, As Well As Cultural Sensitivity And Competency In Working With Diverse Populations.
