- Prepare formula and human milk for infants in a safe and accurate manner.
- Ensure all formula and human milk is prepared according to hospital and industry standards.
- Monitor and maintain proper storage and handling of breast milk and formula.
- Adhere to strict sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine specific nutritional needs for each infant.
- Maintain accurate records of formula and human milk inventory and usage.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding formula and human milk preparation and storage.
- Monitor and report any potential issues or concerns with formula or human milk to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures related to infant nutrition and formula preparation.
- Attend trainings and stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards for formula and human milk preparation.
- Provide support and guidance to other staff members regarding proper formula and human milk preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards infants and their families.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of all patient information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department head.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Food Science, Or Related Field.
Certified Lactation Counselor (Clc) Or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (Ibclc) Certification.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Neonatal Or Pediatric Nutrition Unit.
Knowledge Of Human Milk Handling, Storage, And Fortification Techniques.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, With Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills.
