- Conduct EEG procedures: Perform high quality EEG recordings on pediatric patients using standard techniques and equipment.
- Interpret EEG results: Analyze EEG recordings and provide accurate and timely interpretation of results to assist with diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
- Collaborate with medical team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care and treatment plans.
- Maintain equipment: Ensure all EEG equipment is properly maintained and functioning at all times.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety: Create a welcoming and safe environment for pediatric patients and their families during EEG procedures.
- Educate patients and families: Explain the EEG procedure and answer any questions or concerns from patients and their families to alleviate anxiety and promote understanding.
- Document and maintain records: Accurately document EEG results and maintain patient records in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry developments: Keep up-to-date with advancements in EEG technology, techniques, and procedures to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Adhere to safety protocols: Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Uphold hospital standards: Represent Children's Hospital Colorado by adhering to the hospital's values, policies, and procedures at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Neuroscience, Psychology, Or Healthcare.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience Performing Eeg Tests And Interpreting Results.
Certification As An Eeg Technologist Through The American Board Of Registration Of Electroencephalographic And Evoked Potential Technologists (Abret).
Experience Working With Pediatric Patients And Their Families In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Current Eeg Technology And Equipment, As Well As Ability To Troubleshoot And Maintain Equipment.
