Dental Assistant PRN

We are looking for an outstanding Dental Assistant PRN to join the team at Children's Hospital Colorado! The successful candidate must hold a valid Colorado Dental RadiologicTechnician License (DRTL). Responsibilities:

1. Operate dental equipment and assist with patient care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
2. Prepare patients for dental procedures, including taking and recording vital signs and medical histories.
3. Assist the dentist with chair-side procedures, including taking dental radiographs, pouring and trimming models, charting, etc.
4. Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
5. Provide patient education and instruction on proper oral hygiene practices.
6. Monitor dental supply inventory and order supplies as needed.
7. Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
9. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
10. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to infection control guidelines.
