Job Description

Do you have a strong clinical background and a desire to lead and coordinate a team of dedicated healthcare professionals? Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a Clinical Specialty Coordinator for our Pediatric Diabetes Center. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients and their families, providing expert clinical care and education, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations of our specialized program. We are looking for a highly organized and compassionate individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric diabetes care. Join our team and help us provide the best possible care for our young patients and their families.

  1. Coordinate and lead a team of healthcare professionals in the Pediatric Diabetes Center.
  2. Provide expert clinical care and education to patients and their families.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  4. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Pediatric Diabetes Center, including scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining supplies and equipment.
  5. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and efficient operations.
  6. Serve as a resource and mentor to staff, providing guidance and support in the management of pediatric diabetes.
  7. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in pediatric diabetes care and incorporate into practice.
  8. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide additional support and education for patients and their families.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
  10. Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and identify areas for improvement in the Pediatric Diabetes Center.
  12. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality.
  13. Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs for patients, families, and staff.
  14. Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  15. Provide support and advocacy for patients and families, promoting their well-being and best interests.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Diabetes Management.

  • Certification As A Certified Diabetes Educator (Cde) Or Willingness To Obtain Within 1 Year Of Hire.

  • Previous Leadership Or Management Experience In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Current Pediatric Diabetes Care Guidelines And Best Practices.
