Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Practice Specialist NICU to join our team at Children's Hospital Colorado. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating practice initiatives and standards of care for neonatal intensive care units (NICU) across the hospital. The ideal candidate will possess the qualifications and professional demeanor required to work effectively with clinicians, medical staff, and families in order to ensure the highest quality of care for our youngest patients. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in NICU nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, and a current Colorado Nursing License. In addition, they must possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as be able to work with a wide variety of people. The ideal candidate will also have experience in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, and have a passion for advocating for the best possible care for our smallest patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and evaluate practice initiatives and standards of care for NICU units across the hospital.
  2. Collaborate with clinicians, medical staff, and families to ensure highest quality care for patients.
  3. Utilize excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to work with a wide variety of people.
  4. Monitor patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
  5. Advocate for best possible care for patients.
  6. Maintain current Colorado Nursing License.
