  • Provide specialized pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and cancer treatments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for pediatric patients.
  • Monitor and adjust medication therapies to ensure safe and effective outcomes for patients.
  • Conduct medication reconciliation and review for patients to prevent adverse drug events.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to discuss patient cases and provide clinical recommendations.
  • Serve as a drug information resource for healthcare professionals and patients/families.
  • Comply with all hospital and regulatory policies and procedures related to medication dispensing, storage, and administration.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including medication profiles and progress notes.
  • Stay current on new developments and advancements in pediatric oncology pharmacy.
  • Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, medical residents, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Act as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity in interactions with pediatric patients and their families.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Attend and actively participate in departmental and hospital meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Children's Hospital Colorado.
  • Continuously engage in personal and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharm.d.) Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy

  • Completed Postgraduate Residency Or Fellowship In Oncology Pharmacy

  • Board Certification In Oncology Pharmacy (Bcop) Or Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (Bcps)

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Clinical Pharmacist In An Oncology Or Bone Marrow Transplant (Bmt) Setting

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Chemotherapy Regimens, Supportive Care Medications, And Management Of Side Effects In Pediatric Patients
