- Conduct audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with coding and billing regulations and guidelines.
- Identify and communicate documentation deficiencies and opportunities for improvement to healthcare providers and other relevant staff.
- Collaborate with coding and billing teams to ensure accurate coding and billing based on documented clinical information.
- Stay updated on coding and billing regulations and guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in educational initiatives to train and educate healthcare providers and other relevant staff on proper clinical documentation practices.
- Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement in clinical documentation processes and develop strategies to address them.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to promote accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards when handling sensitive patient information.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex clinical documentation scenarios.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical documentation improvement strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Related Field (E.g. Nursing, Health Information Management, Clinical Documentation Integrity)
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (Ccds) Certification
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Clinical Documentation Improvement Or Coding In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Icd-10-Cm And Cpt Coding Guidelines And Regulations
Excellent Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Communicate Documentation Deficiencies And Provide Education To Healthcare Providers.
