  1. Provide evidence-based nutrition assessments, interventions, and education for pediatric patients and their families.
  2. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
  3. Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and adjust nutrition interventions as needed.
  4. Educate patients and families on proper nutrition, including special diets and feeding techniques.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and guidelines related to pediatric nutrition.
  6. Serve as a resource and consultant to healthcare team members regarding nutrition-related issues.
  7. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and conferences to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  9. Utilize electronic medical record systems to document and communicate patient information.
  10. Provide training and supervision for dietetic interns and other staff members.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to pediatric nutrition.
  12. Collaborate with community organizations and schools to promote healthy eating habits and prevent childhood obesity.
  13. Attend continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to nutrition and dietetics.
  15. Comply with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
  16. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  17. Participate in performance evaluations and contribute to departmental goals and initiatives.
  18. Serve as a role model and mentor for other staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  19. Actively participate in department and hospital meetings and committees.
  20. Embody the mission and values of Children's Hospital Colorado and promote a patient-centered approach to care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition Or Dietetics From An Accredited Institution.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential Through The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As A Dietitian In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Pediatrics.

  • Advanced Knowledge And Understanding Of Pediatric Nutrition Principles And Therapeutic Diets.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Families, And Multidisciplinary Healthcare Teams.
