We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Life Program Coordinator to join our team and help us make a positive impact in the lives of our young patients.As the Child Life Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and developmental needs of our patients and their families. Your role will involve coordinating and overseeing various child life programs, including play therapy, art therapy, and other activities that promote healing, relaxation, and self-expression.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field, as well as at least 2 years of experience working in a child life program.   1. Coordinate and oversee various child life programs, including play therapy, art therapy, and other activities that promote healing, relaxation, and self-expression.
  2. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and interventions to meet the emotional and developmental needs of our young patients.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure that child life services are integrated into the overall treatment plan for each patient.
  4. Work closely with families to support them in understanding and coping with their child's illness or injury.
  5. Create a safe, welcoming, and child-friendly environment for patients and their families.
  6. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and interns who assist with child life programs.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of child life program activities and patient interactions.
  8. Stay informed about current research and trends in child life and incorporate this knowledge into program development and implementation.
  9. Communicate and collaborate with community organizations and resources to enhance the child life program.
  10. Represent Children's Hospital Colorado at events, conferences, and other professional development opportunities.
  11. Assist in fundraising efforts to support the child life program.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality.
  13. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  14. Advocate for the emotional and developmental needs of children and their families within the hospital setting.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the child life program to ensure high-quality, family-centered care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Child Life, Child Development, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Child Life Specialist (Ccls) Through The Association Of Child Life Professionals.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Child Life Program, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Train A Team Of Child Life Specialists.

  • Knowledge Of Child Development, Family Dynamics, And Coping Strategies For Children Facing Medical Challenges.
