
Behavioral Health Placement Specialist

- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to determine their behavioral health needs and make appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, mental health providers, and other resources to ensure a comprehensive network of services for our patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create individualized care plans for patients.
- Advocate for patients and families to access necessary resources and services.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in the field of behavioral health to inform treatment recommendations.
- Monitor and track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate referrals to outside providers and agencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and services provided.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care and coordinate services.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding mental health and available resources.
- Promote a positive and supportive environment for patients and families.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations for treatment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Assist with crisis intervention and management as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Behavioral Health Setting, Preferably With Pediatric Patients.
Knowledge Of Mental Health Diagnoses And Treatment Modalities For Children And Adolescents.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.
Understanding Of Insurance And Reimbursement Processes Related To Behavioral Health Services.
