  1. Provide therapeutic interventions to children and families using creative arts.
  2. Utilize creativity and compassion to connect with and support patients.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  4. Conduct assessments to determine appropriate treatment interventions.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  6. Continuously evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
  7. Create a safe and supportive environment for patients to express themselves through creative arts.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in creative arts therapy.
  9. Educate patients and families on the benefits of creative arts therapy and how it can improve their well-being.
  10. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  11. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  12. Collaborate with community resources to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  13. Attend trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Represent the hospital and its values in a positive and professional manner.
  15. Maintain a positive and therapeutic relationship with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In A Related Field Such As Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Or Drama Therapy.

  • Certification Or Licensure As A Creative Arts Therapist (Cat) From A Recognized Governing Body Such As The American Art Therapy Association Or The National Association For Drama Therapy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Children And Families In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Pediatric Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Child Development And The Ability To Apply Creative Arts Therapy Techniques To Address Behavioral And Emotional Challenges In Children.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team And Effectively Engage With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
