  1. Assist audiologists in providing high-quality care to pediatric patients by performing tasks such as taking patient histories, conducting screenings, and administering basic hearing tests.
  2. Prepare and maintain audiology equipment, ensuring that it is in proper working condition for patient appointments.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the audiology team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  4. Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including documenting all procedures and test results.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and information about audiology services and procedures.
  6. Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to ensure efficient and timely care.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  8. Continuously update knowledge and skills in audiology through participation in training and professional development opportunities.
  9. Foster a positive and supportive work environment by contributing to a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Audiology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Audiology Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. This Demonstrates A Foundational Knowledge And Understanding Of Audiology Principles And Practices.

  • Experience Working With Pediatric Patients: Children's Hospital Colorado Primarily Serves Pediatric Patients, So Experience Working With This Population Is Essential For An Audiology Assistant. This Includes Understanding The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Working With Children And Their Families.

  • Knowledge Of Audiology Equipment And Technology: The Audiology Assistant Will Be Responsible For Assisting With Various Audiology Tests And Procedures, Therefore, A Strong Understanding Of Audiology Equipment And Technology Is Crucial. This Includes Knowledge Of Hearing Aids, Cochlear Implants, And Other Assistive Devices.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Audiology Assistant, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Key For Working With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Explain Complex Information In A Clear And Understandable Manner.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment: Children's Hospital Colorado Is A Busy And Fast-Paced Environment, So The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Be Able To Thrive In This Type Of Setting.
