
Athletic Trainer Resident

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Athletic Trainer Resident to join our team and help us in our mission to improve the health and well-being of children.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of pediatric patients and athletes, providing evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services under the guidance of our experienced athletic trainers. As a Resident, you will also have the chance to gain valuable experience and training in a dynamic and supportive environment.To be successful in this position, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training, as well as current certification from the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification. - Conduct assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients and athletes to determine their specific needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide treatment and rehabilitation services to patients under the guidance and supervision of experienced athletic trainers.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Administer therapeutic exercises and techniques to help patients improve their physical strength, mobility, and performance.
- Educate patients, parents, and caregivers on injury prevention strategies and proper techniques for safe and effective physical activity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Continuously monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment protocols and strategies.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Attend and actively participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of pediatric athletic training.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment by collaborating with colleagues and demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Maintain current certification and licensure as required by the National Athletic Trainers' Association and state regulations.

Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Athletic Training Principles And Techniques Is Essential For This Role. A Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or A Related Field Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Excel As An Athletic Trainer Resident.
Certification By The National Athletic Trainers' Association Board Of Certification (Nataboc): Nataboc Certification Is A Standard Requirement For Most Athletic Trainer Positions And Demonstrates A High Level Of Competency And Professionalism In The Field.
Current State Licensure As An Athletic Trainer: In Addition To Nataboc Certification, Most States Require Athletic Trainers To Be Licensed In Order To Practice. A Valid State License Is A Must-Have Qualification For This Role.
Strong Understanding Of Sports Injuries And Rehabilitation Techniques: The Primary Responsibility Of An Athletic Trainer Resident Is To Help Prevent, Diagnose, And Treat Sports-Related Injuries. A Comprehensive Understanding Of Sports Injuries And Proven Rehabilitation Techniques Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Athletic Trainer Resident, You Will Be Working Closely With Athletes, Coaches, And Healthcare Professionals.
