- Maintain accurate and comprehensive trauma data in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Collect, organize, and report trauma data for quality assurance and research purposes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation of trauma cases.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and national trauma registry guidelines and requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the trauma service and outside agencies, such as state trauma registries.
- Conduct regular audits of trauma data to identify and address any data discrepancies or errors.
- Participate in trauma-related committees to provide expertise on trauma registry data.
- Train and educate healthcare providers on trauma registry data collection and reporting.
- Stay current on advances in trauma registry technology and best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of trauma data in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide support to trauma service leadership in analyzing and interpreting trauma data.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance trauma care delivery.
- Maintain a professional and collaborative working relationship with all members of the healthcare team.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to trauma registry responsibilities.
- Continuously strive to improve and streamline trauma registry processes and workflows.
- Complete all necessary documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule for trauma registry coverage.
- Attend relevant trainings, conferences, and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in all job duties and interactions.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Trauma Registry, Preferably In A Level I Trauma Center.
Knowledge Of Trauma Registry Software And Data Management Systems.
Understanding Of Icd-10 Coding And Data Abstraction For Trauma Patients.
Ability To Work Independently And In A Fast-Paced Environment, With Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Meet Deadlines.
