We are currently seeking a Surgery Scheduler for our Obstetrics and Gynecology department and Labor and Delivery unit. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures for our patients, ensuring efficient and timely care. We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate individual with experience in surgical scheduling and a strong understanding of Ob/Gyn and L&D procedures.   1. Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department and Labor and Delivery unit.
  2. Communicate with patients, physicians, and other medical staff to ensure efficient and timely care.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules for surgeries, including pre-operative and post-operative appointments.
  4. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and facilities to schedule surgeries and coordinate patient care.
  6. Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  7. Educate patients and their families on the surgical process, including pre-operative instructions and post-operative care.
  8. Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.
  9. Assist with scheduling and coordinating follow-up appointments for patients.
  10. Stay updated on current Ob/Gyn and L&D procedures and guidelines.
  11. Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  13. Handle any issues or concerns that may arise during the scheduling process.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  15. Participate in training and education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to surgical scheduling and Ob/Gyn and L&D procedures.
  16. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  17. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
