  1. Conduct respiratory assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans for patients with various respiratory conditions.
  2. Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care, treatment plans, and disease management.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  5. Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and timely.
  6. Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies.
  7. Stay current with advancements and changes in respiratory therapy practices and techniques.
  8. Provide guidance and support to less experienced respiratory therapy staff.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing patient care.
  12. Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  14. Attend continuing education programs and maintain licensure and certifications.
  15. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  16. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job responsibilities.
  17. Ensure accurate and timely billing for respiratory therapy services.
  18. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  19. Serve as a patient advocate and promote patient rights and dignity.
  20. Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the hospital positively in all interactions with patients and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Care Or Related Field

  • Current And Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc)

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A Respiratory Therapist In A Hospital Setting

  • Advanced Certifications Such As Adult Critical Care Specialist (Accs) Or Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (Nps) Preferred

  • Knowledge And Proficiency In A Variety Of Respiratory Care Modalities And Equipment, Including Mechanical Ventilation, Oxygen Therapy, And Airway Management.
