  1. Provide exceptional care to critically ill surgical patients in the SICU.
  2. Utilize clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress and changes in condition.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  7. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  8. Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and address potential patient complications.
  9. Maintain current knowledge of best practices and evidence-based interventions in critical care nursing.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
  11. Act as a patient advocate and ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  12. Demonstrate proficiency in using medical equipment and technology.
  13. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  15. Act as a preceptor or mentor to new nurses and nursing students.
  16. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education opportunities.
  17. Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications and pursue CCRN certification.
  18. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  19. Remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  20. Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development.
