We are currently seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with a specialization in pediatric oncology to join our team on a per diem basis for 12-hour night shifts.   1. Provide exceptional care to pediatric oncology patients during 12-hour night shifts.
  2. Utilize specialized knowledge and skills in pediatric oncology to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition, taking appropriate action as needed.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to build trusting relationships and promote a positive care experience.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in pediatric oncology.
  11. Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that patient and family needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission and values in all aspects of job performance.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in patient care.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards in the delivery of patient care.
  15. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  17. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of pediatric oncology care.
  18. Support and promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
  19. Attend meetings and trainings as required by the hospital.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Pediatric Nursing, Preferably In An Oncology Setting.

  • Current Bls And Pals Certifications.

  • Ability To Work 12 Hour Night Shifts On A Per Diem Basis, Including Weekends And Holidays.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With A Focus On Providing Compassionate And Comprehensive Care To Pediatric Oncology Patients.
