- Provide exceptional care to newborns in the NICU, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, identifying any changes or concerns and taking appropriate action.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Educate and support families on their newborn's condition, treatments, and care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to make quick and effective decisions in emergency situations.
- Keep up to date with advancements in neonatal care and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families during difficult and emotional times.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless and coordinated care.
- Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote patient safety.
- Act as a role model for nursing excellence, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and compassion in all interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines for patient care.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Level Iii Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Current Certification In Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) And Basic Life Support (Bls).
Excellent Critical Thinking And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And Highly Specialized Environment.
