- Work closely with the Plastic Surgery team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with lymphedema.
- Conduct thorough assessments and examinations of patients to accurately diagnose and treat lymphedema.
- Educate patients on their condition, treatment options, and self-management techniques to improve their overall health and well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Perform procedures, such as lymphatic drainage massage and compression bandaging, to help manage lymphedema symptoms.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in plastic surgery and lymphedema care to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards while providing care to patients.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and protocols set by the medical center.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Completion Of An Accredited Physician Assistant Program: Prospective Candidates For This Job At Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Should Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Physician Assistant Program, Demonstrating Knowledge And Skills In Patient Care, Clinical Assessment, And Treatment Management.
Board Certification As A Physician Assistant: A Board-Certified Physician Assistant (Pa-C) In Plastic Surgery And Lymphedema Care Is Required For This Position. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Standards Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.
Experience In Plastic Surgery And Lymphedema Care: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Plastic Surgery And Lymphedema Care, Preferably In A Hospital Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge And Proficiency In Surgical Procedures, Wound Care, And Lymphedema Treatment.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: As A Pa-C In Plastic Surgery And Lymphedema Care, One Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills Are Essential For Building Rapport With Patients And Collaborating With The Healthcare Team.
